The Massachusetts Teachers Association will be working with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents, Burlington Public Schools, and Revere Public Schools on a case study of the PARCC Field Test. The MTA recently posted a message and video about the collaborative efforts.
From the MTA
Students at 1,000 Massachusetts public schools will participate in the field testing of PARCC this spring. The math and English language arts assessments, developed by the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers, or PARCC, could eventually replace MCAS tests. Learn more about the field test as well as efforts by the MTA and other education stakeholder groups that are collaborating on a case study of PARCC implementation by focusing on two school districts, Burlington and Revere.
